Elliot Mintz began his career in media and the world of broadcasting as a radio disco jockey and later as a television personality interviewing people like Jack Lemmon, John Wayne, Salvadore Dali, Alan Watts, Bob Dylan, Yoko Ono, John Lennon and many others - about 2,000 in all. From 1988 to 1992 he hosted a syndicated radio program called The Lost Lennon Tapes that featured rare, unreleased, recorded demos, rehearsals and composing tapes of John Lennon. Elliot Mintz followed that by hosting a program called "The Beatle Years."

Elliot Mintz then became a publicist and media consultant representing Paris Hilton, Don Johnson, Christie Brinkley, Melanie Griffith, Sean Lennon, Yoko Ono and the estate of John Lennon. Elliot Mintz's relationship with John Lennon began in 1971, having interviewed John Lennon and Yoko Ono on the radio. His relationship with Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon continue to this day. Elliot Mintz has expressed a desire to move to a more rural area away from his longtime home of Los Angeles, get married and begin offering his expertise in public relations pro bono for causes he supports.

On this episode, we meet "the Real Elliot Mintz," in a special that coincided with the week of his birthday.

We are pleased to welcome media consultant and publicist Elliot Mintz back for the third episode in our four part radio biographical documentary, The Elliot Mintz Special. Elliot Mintz is a former radio and television personality and the past host of the syndicated programs "The Lost Lennon Tapes" and "The Beatle Years." His clients as a publicist have included people like Bob Dylan, Sean Lennon, the Estate of John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Don Johnson, Paris Hilton, Melanie Griffith, and many others.

On the last episode he joined us to talk about his friendship and association with the late John Lennon. On this episode, we continue our conversation with Elliot Mintz to talk about Elliot Mintz Today and Tomorrow. As he says in this interview, "I'm in the third act of my life right now."

The interview was recorded in Beverly Hills, California at the home of Elliot Mintz. Your host Paul Leslie had flown from Atlanta to Los Angeles to interview Mintz after years of correspondence. In the past, Elliot Mintz was a radio and television personality having interviewed over 2,000 people ranging from Mick Jagger, Timothy Leary, R. D. Laing, Jack Nicholson, Donovan, Salvador Dali, Joan Baez, and a couple who would change his life. Yoko Ono and John Lennon.

John Lennon and Yoko Ono became friends with Elliot Mintz. As a publicist, he went on to represent Yoko Ono and the Estate of John Lennon and a long list of other celebrities including Boby Dylan, Christie Brinkley, Paris Hilton, Diana Ross, Don Johnson, Melanie Griffith and many others. From 1988 to 1992 he hosted "The Lost Lennon Tapes," a radio program featuring rare and unreleased recordings of John Lennon as well as interviews with John Lennon. The show had millions of listeners every week.
